August 4, 2009

Videopoem stands for transparency…so much is hidden in this world…whether it be politics or the beauty in our backyard, Videopoem seeks to expose it…imagery…music….words…all used to foment aconversation with the world…voice to the voiceless…collage at its foundation and non-linear in its execution, Videopem is not the mindless entertainment of Hollywood…if you want that go elsewere…it never has had the same opening as it stands for being in the present and in the moment…

The Man With No Face…

March 10, 2009

A Videopoem in homage to William Burroughs and Jack Kerouac…the title comes from a line in Burrough’s “The Ticket That Exploded,” a work of his which introduces his concept of the cut up method. It was his contention that literature was bogged down in 19 century notions with a misguided adherence to linear progression. Taking its cue from the Cubists, the cut up method introduces multiple viewpoints and shifting time to break down linear presentation which Burrough’s felt was inaccurate portrayal of reality.

The Have Nots Videopoem

America lost after eating too much ice cream
gorged silly believing its notion of success
its throat burns from deep freeze
I could see it along
with opened eyes
the have nots have always known
in the stillness of the desert
with calm thoughts
as the sublime absurdithy of the world passes by
a burning house of love
for the beauty that they see…
