Groundhog day in the qua…same as it ever was and same as it ever will be…the words splash on…the people I grew up with gone…even though we are a part of six degrees of seperation and never apart…I never did find that nice but I have kept moving on like a bird that flew and it feels so good to write the words and steady the thoughts…I am not preaching at anyone…lecturing is not my style…I am not condemning anyone…in a world of action you are what you take…

Mixing Music…

January 22, 2010

Tom Pandaleon
Mixing music in the morning with colloboration Tom Pandaleon…Bell Bottom Blues…a tricky chord progression…so here in the 21st century Nirvana lives…on this Friday on a nowhere winter day before heading down the hill to go to a yoga class…music, a connection, that never dies…

East Side Walk…

January 20, 2010

East River
Lower East side walk in the morning…the night after I went to see Patti although I didn’t get to see her…I am not into her coronation…when I got to the Barne’s n’ Noble the place reeked of academia and idol worship…buzzing from Cheapies I had to go out for a smoke…when I returned I could not get in…I sat in Union Park hallucinating visions and laughing at my madness..I was almost so crazy and in the holy space that I thought this woman who came to bum a cigarette off of me was going to take me home with her and fuck her…I swear it almost happened…but when I started to slur my speech I lost her…so it went…I stumbled back into the night enthralled with my madness and trying to stay out of trouble…

Now it’s the next morning and I awoke afresh…the light was in full bloom unlike the day before when a grey veiled covered nature’s expression…

Marsh
Sometimes you never know what will happen when you walk out the door….Leo Hopi showed up and we were going to go take some pictures of Donny’s bench when we made the call to go North…it turned into a scenic journey into the country…time stopped….there was no sense of urgency…we helped some people move their belongings…they made us some food…we talked about things…I took some pictures…of marsh…and country roads…and a gazebo…there in the moment…

Hudson River School…

January 17, 2010

I have always been influenced by the Hudson River School..painters around 1821 would find inspiration in nature seeing God reflected in the beauty of the environment…one of the spots they travelled to quite frequently too was a place called Rockwood in Tarrytown…

Beauty in the mundane like the light shining off the building of the Galleria in downtown White Plains…there in the moment observing the play of the shadow contrasted against the light…generic businessmen on their cellphones living like zombies in the land of the dead…here today gone tomorrow…living on the banks time…if they only stopped to see the light in the moment..
